On My Way
On My Way Infant Car Seat Carrier / On My Way Travel System Infant Car/Seat Handle Safey Notice

Evenflo Company Inc. has determined that some On My Way infant car seat / carriers (model numbers beginning with 207 and On My Way Travel System car seat / strollers (model numbers beginning with 492) manufactured between December 15, 1995 through July 27, 1997, contain a safety defect when used as an infant carrier. The model number and manufacture date are located on the bottom of the car seat.

A concern exists that leveraging the handle, such as when the seat is propped against an adult's hip or stomach, can damage the handle locking mechanism. The carrier handle can then release causing the seat to flip forward. Injuries can occur.

Therefore, in cooperation with the National Highway traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), we are providing all owners with an easily installed repair kit which substantially increases the handle strength.
To obtain a free handle repair kit call:
1-800-233-5921 (Canadian residents please call 800-265-0749)
Until you have installed the repair kit, you can continue to use the On My Way as a carrier, but we caution you to avoid propping the seat against your hip or stomach. Instead, carry the seat by using the hand holds at both ends of the seat to carry your Infant. In addition, always make sure the carrier's shoulder straps are fastened around the child.

Please note that this corrective action in no way affects the performance of the seat when used as a child restraint in a vehicle. The seat can still be used as a car seat.

IMPORTANT: Please read before preceding. You will only need to enter the first three digits of your model number when registering.
