EVENFLO ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF SAFETY UPGRADE FOR TRIBUTE™ CAR SEATS
Evenflo Company, Inc., is announcing a consumer safety campaign for the Tribute™ child restraint and will be offering free replacement units to owners. Evenflo discovered that some products may not meet performance specifications due to faulty processing. Defective parts could increase the likelihood of damage to the child restraint in certain motor vehicle collisions.
Replacements are available for Tribute™ car seats manufactured between September 8 and September 22, 2005. The child restraints have model numbers beginning with "378" or "379." The model number and date of manufacture may be found on a white label on the lower, back side of the child restraint. Tribute™ car seats manufactured before or after the affected period are not involved.
Tribute™ child restraints currently manufactured by Evenflo have been modified to eliminate any issues and meet or exceed all applicable safety standards. There is no need for a replacement car seat with respect any Tribute child restraint seats manufactured before September 8, 2005 or after September 22, 2005.
